Tim McCoy
Vice President

Tim began his career in his home state of West Virginia in 1977 while operating a coal mine supply business called Mingo Cable Service. This business was active from 1977 through 1990 and averaged annual sales of just under $10 million. From 1990 through 2000, Tim continued to polish his project management skills in multiple coal industry ventures. Those ventures included operating rail coal loading facilities, purchasing distressed coal properties, operating multiple preparation plants and barge loading facilities as well as operating multiple underground and surface mining operations in Alabama. Tim purchased the assets of Costain Coal in Alabama in 1995, and within a year of that purchase, also purchased the assets of a distressed coal company in West Virginia. The two companies’ operations combined to employ over 300 people and had annual sales of over $100 million per year.
Tim acquired an extensive skill set in project management, time management, communication, problem-solving, and leadership through his years of dedicated work in the coal industry. These skills carry over perfectly into the Disaster Recovery Industry. Tim is always up for a challenge and knew he wanted to expand his horizons beyond the coal industry. When Hurricane Katrina hit, he was moved to help in any way that he could. From 2005 onward, Tim has been heavily engaged in multiple FEMA and CDBG-DR funded projects developed to help communities recover after natural disasters.
